Testimonials Mr. Arnie Goldberg Dear Mr. Goldberg, Recently my husband was in the hospital and then went into a nursing home. He finally ended up at the Wealshire where I was most pleased with the entire facility. Not only is it beautiful and well planned but it is well thought out in terms of patient care. The entire staff is superb. Everyone was welcoming, friendly, accommodating, helpful and caring. From the moment we opened the entrance door and throughout various offices and units, I was impressed with the competence of everyone who works there. Your receptionist Geri Schneider was so gracious. She immediately made us feel at home. Jay Canastra, your director of admissions is to be admired. He made the transition from another nursing home to yours as smooth as possible, was extremely perceptive to our individual needs and placed my husband in an appropriate unit where he could get the care he needed. My husband was not able to walk very well when we arrived at the Wealshire, but by the time he was discharged he was walking quite well. Thanks to your wonderful physical therapy department. The occupational therapist was great as well. Jennifer Bebinger was patient and available to discuss medical issues, and she made me feel I could stop in anytime. Nancy Matgous was most helpful with suggestions, alerting me to resources, made the discharge easy, and I was impressed with the follow up phone calls after my husband returned home. She encouraged me to call her any time with questions or for help. Everyone in the two unites we experienced were outstanding, highly competent, helpful and gracious. In addition, I had my home caregivers stay with my husband 24/7 so he was with someone he was familiar with and since my husband can't verbalize well due to his illness, my caregivers could figure out his needs at each moment. Your staff treated my caregivers with upmost respect. Please pass on my thanks to your entire administrative staff, nursing staff, and all the nurses, certified nurses aids, maintenance, food service and anyone else who worked in Cape Cod and Palm Beach units. In the future, when the time comes that we need a nursing home again, the Wealshire is the nursing home of our choice. The write up in the North Shore Magazine about the Wealshire is truly accurate. Thanks for establishing a unique place to serve so many people in need. Sincerely,
